Job summary

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician in Silver Spring, MD for a full-time role. The position focuses on general apartment maintenance, appliance repairs, drywall and painting, with HVAC/CFC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, unit turnovers, and participation in the after-hours on-call rotation. Reports to the Community Manager; compensation is hourly and based on experience and certification.

Qualifications

• Prior apartment maintenance experience is required.
• Experience with appliance repairs, drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing and basic electrical work.
• HVAC/CFC certification is preferred.
• Must work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general apartment maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance procedures.
• Help with unit turnovers and on-call rotation.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
• Report to the Community Manager.
