Job summary

Habitat America, LLC in Frederick, Maryland is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience. You will perform appliance repairs, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, drywall and painting, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

HVAC/CFC certifications are a plus, and you will handle tickets and unit turnovers. The role is full-time, primarily Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Experience with appliance repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall and painting.
• HVAC/CFC certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Handle general apartment maintenance tickets and on-call troubleshooting.
• Assist with unit turnovers and coordinate with vendors/contractors as needed.
• Report to Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager; ensure quality workmanship.

Job description

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician in Frederick, Maryland for Foundry Square! This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region. Applicants who are qualified for this position have 2+ years prior apartment maintenance experience. Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting is needed. HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus! It is imperative that the Maintenance Technician be able to work independently and also as a member of a team. This position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance. In addition to technical maintenance tickets, this position will assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician directly reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification. This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 8:30 am -5:00pm. Pay commensurate with experience.
