Position Overview:

Each Redwood Neighborhood has an Apartment Maintenance Technician responsible for performing routine maintenance on facilities, buildings, and equipment, as well as groundskeeping tasks. Daily duties include using power tools, completing unit turns, troubleshooting appliances, and providing excellent customer service. The technician acts as a Redwood ambassador, ensuring a positive experience for employees and residents. Responsibilities include entering homes to complete work orders, handling repairs, and communicating effectively to promote a positive experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and repair facilities, buildings, and grounds via work orders.
2. Prepare vacated apartments for new residents promptly and professionally.
3. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
4. Handle minor plumbing repairs such as drain clearing, toilet issues, and water heater repairs/replacements.
5. Service kitchen appliances, washers, dryers, and garage issues as needed.
6. Participate in an on-call emergency maintenance schedule.
7. Follow all safety standards at all times.
8. Perform snow removal.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC Certification.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Experience in apartment maintenance.
• Ability to operate smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit, stand, bend, and walk as needed.
