Richman Property Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team at Larkin Village, a 476-unit residential community in Joliet, IL.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Larkin Village, Joliet, IL 60435
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with on-call/weekend rotation
Key Qualifications:
- EPA I & II or EPA Universal certification. RPS may sponsor and pay for your EPA certification within the first 75 days if you have the right skills and experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, grounds, snow removal (where applicable), common areas
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities:
- Perform daily repairs and property upkeep
- Prepare vacant units for occupancy
- Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
- Maintain OSHA and environmental compliance
- Oversee tools and equipment inventory
- Complete logs, reports, and training
- Provide excellent customer service and uphold policies
- Participate in preventative maintenance and property cleanliness
- Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, industry-related courses preferred
- At least 2 years of maintenance or groundskeeping experience
- Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
- Own basic tools as permitted by law
- Knowledge of relevant laws including Fair Housing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
Skills & Certifications:
- EPA Section 608 Type I & II or Universal Technician license (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in English for communication and record-keeping
