Job summary

CTH Recruiting LLC is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to support Rochester-area communities. The role offers steady, full-time work with on-site responsibilities and a pay range of $24–$27 per hour.

You will handle appliance, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and HVAC tasks, perform turns and make-readies, address resident requests, and stay on top of routine maintenance across multiple properties in the Rochester area.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience in apartment, building, hotel, or facilities maintenance.
• Working knowledge of turns, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic HVAC.
• Ability to spot maintenance problems and know what to do next.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and communication.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work inside/outside in all weather; Flexibility for after-hours emergencies and travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Turn apartments and get vacant units ready for new residents
• Clean, remove debris, and patch/paint walls during make-readies
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
• Respond to resident service requests—quickly and professionally
• Inspect units, complete checklists, and prep for agency inspections
• Stay on top of routine and preventative maintenance throughout multiple properties
• Keep grounds, common areas, and curb appeal in top shape
• Use a smartphone app to track work orders and document repairs
• Pitch in at other Rochester communities as needed
• Help with snow removal and seasonal needs
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as required

Pay & Perks

Pay depends on your experience, technical skills, and certifications. If you know apartment maintenance, can troubleshoot issues fast, or have EPA/HVAC certification, you’ll be considered for the higher end of the range.
