Job summary

National Property Management Associates, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the 132-unit Dorsey Garden Apartments remain in excellent condition and ready for occupancy.

You will handle electrical, HVAC and plumbing maintenance, carpentry, painting and general repairs with attention to safety and quality. The role reports to the Property Manager & Lead Maintenance and requires on-site presence at the Rochester, NY property; a strong service mindset and reliable daily paperwork are

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance technician.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Ability to perform carpentry, painting and landscaping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for occupancy.
• Complete make ready work and general work orders.
• Maintain electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Perform manual repairs (locks, windows).
• Conduct general upkeep and pool maintenance.
• Complete daily paperwork.
• On-call responsibilities as needed by the property manager.

Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Property Manager & Lead Maintenance

Location: Rochester, NY

Units: 132

Salary: $24.00 per hour (Subject to adjustment for onsite living)

Housing Benefit: 50% rent discount for onsite living

Summary:

Dorsey Garden Apartments is looking for a service minded maintenance professional to undertake the responsibility of upgrading & preserving the good condition and functionality of our 132-unit residential apartment community.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare units for occupancy.
• Complete make ready work and general work orders
• Perform maintenance of general maintenance including the areas of; electrical, HVAC, & Plumbing
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) and pool maintenance
• Complete daily paperwork
• On call responsibilities as assigned by property manager

Skills:

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, & HVAC.
• General knowledge of maintenance duties
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
