Job summary

Portland Manor Apartments in Rochester, NY is seeking a dedicated Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise the maintenance team and preserve the 161-unit community.

You will perform a variety of tasks including painting, HVAC installations, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, while managing inventory and on-call duties. Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience, strong leadership, and an HVAC certification; onsite living includes a 100% rent discount.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, & HVAC.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength.
• HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, schedule, and inspect work being performed by the maintenance staff.
• Maintain a clean organized shop and maintain inventory.
• Obtain bids on special projects.
• Work with the property manager to maintain the supply budget.
• Perform maintenance of general maintenance including the areas of; electrical, HVAC, & Plumbing.
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).
• Appliance repair & troubleshooting.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures.
• On call responsibilities as assigned by property manager.

Salary: $26.00 per hour (Subject to adjustment for onsite living)

Portland Manor Apartments has a great opportunity for a dedicated and responsive Lead Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of our 161-unit residential apartment community. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, landscaping etc.
