Monarch Investment and Management Group seeks an Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Depot community in Akron, OH. This hands-on role includes HVAC-focused work orders and general maintenance with guaranteed full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• EPA Certification required.
• Appliance repair skills preferred.
• Plumbing skills required.
• Multifamily experience preferred, but all maintenance professionals are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders promptly and thoroughly.
• HVAC-related work orders: diagnose and repair HVAC issues.
• Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge as needed.
• Replace components such as compressors and blower motors, and service limits/fuses.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance like filter changes and coil cleanings.
• Assist with non-HVAC repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances) as workload allows.
• Participate in a monthly 24/7 on-call emergency rotation (1 week in 2 weeks).
• Assist with snow removal during winter.

What Our Maintenance Technicians Will Do:

• Ensure all assigned work orders are completed in a timely manner.
• This position will focus on HVAC related work orders including:
• Diagnosing and repairing common HVAC issues
• Detecting and soldering refrigerant leaks
• Recharging freon gas
• Changing failing compressors and blower motors
• Replacing limit switches & fuses
• Other common HVAC problems.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance including filer changes and coil cleanings
• Depending on work load non-HVAC repairs may include:
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Appliances
• Some unit turn maintenance and cleaning may also be required at times.
• Must participate in a monthly rotation of a 24/7 on call emergency cell phone (1 week every 2 weeks)
• Snow removal (when needed during the winter season).

You will be asked to complete a written skills maintenance test to help assess your skill level as part of the interview process.

This role requires pre-employment screenings that include a criminal background check, drug screening, and a valid Drivers License
