Job summary

Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Residence at Heritage Park Apartments in Abilene, TX. The role focuses on completing work orders, preparing units between tenants, and performing repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.

Candidates with HVAC experience and EPA Universal certification are preferred; CPO certification is also a plus. The job includes on-call duties and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year maintenance field experience.
• Basic drywall, painting, carpentry skills.
• Light plumbing and electrical experience.
• HVAC experience and EPA Universal certification preferred.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Boiler experience a plus.
• Able to operate appliances (washers/dryers).

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely manner based on priority.
• Turn and make units ready between tenant occupancy.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.
• Assist in preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Assist in property grounds maintenance.
• Support 24/7 emergency on-call coverage.

Location:

Abilene, TX 79601

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, On-Call rotation 1 week every 4 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Complete work orders in a timely manner based on priority
• Turning and making units ready in between tenant occupancy
• Completing repairs in property and apartment plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC
• Assist in preventative maintenance as assigned
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Assist in property grounds maintenance
• Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year experience in the maintenance field required
• Basic knowledge of drywall, painting, and carpentry experience
• Light plumbing and electrical experience
• HVAC experience and EPA Universal certification preferred
• CPO Certification preferred
• Boiler experience a plus
• Working knowledge of appliances to include washers and dryers
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
