Job summary

Barataria Station in Houma, LA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the property in top condition, handling electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks. The role centers on completing work orders promptly and participating in preventive maintenance to keep building systems running smoothly.

You will work with the maintenance team, have access to tools and training, and participate in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of residential/apartment maintenance experience required.
• General residential maintenance skills: A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, finishing.
• Must be able to report to on-call maintenance shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building.
• Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests.
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence.
• Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site.
• Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action.
• Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
