Job summary

HRI Properties, via its management arm HRIM, seeks a Maintenance Technician in New Orleans, LA. You will handle electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks, complete maintenance requests, and participate in preventive maintenance for building systems.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred.
• Residential/apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• General residential maintenance skills: A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, finishing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building.
• Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests.
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence.
• Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site.
• Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action.
• Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
