Job summary

HRI Properties is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to care for our New Orleans-area communities. You'll handle exterior/interior maintenance, complete work orders, and participate in preventive maintenance to keep buildings safe and efficient.

The role requires on-call availability, handyman skills across HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification preferred.
• Residential/apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• General residential maintenance skills include A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Must be able to work on-call maintenance shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
• Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence
• Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site
• Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
• Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
