Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.
• Proven experience in apartment maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general repairs.
• Must have your own tools.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills and timely issue resolution.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools, equipment and software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, colleagues and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC inspections, and general repairs throughout the apartment community.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from residents and property management.
• Conduct thorough inspections of units to identify and address maintenance issues and hazards.
• Maintain and repair common areas, including hallways, stairwells, and recreational facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with property management to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, per company policy.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a hazard-free living environment for residents.
