Job summary

BG Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Charlottesville, VA. This role involves hands-on maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and preventative tasks to keep residents safe and satisfied.

The position is temporary with ASAP start, pays $18/hr, and follows a M-F, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule. HVAC troubleshooting and EPA certification are preferred but not required, with opportunities for growth into lead

Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment service requests and work orders
• Perform plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems as needed
• Assist with unit turns, including drywall, painting, and minor renovations
• Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Maintain curb appeal and support overall property upkeep
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents
