Job summary

BG Staffing is seeking a Certified Maintenance Technician to support an apartment community in Charleston, SC 29403. The role offers a pay rate of $23/hr and a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule. Start date is ASAP, with contract or contract-to-hire opportunities.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, electrical and plumbing tasks, appliance diagnostics, carpentry, and general maintenance. Excellent customer service and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• EPA or HVAC certification required.
• Apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Perform HVAC troubleshooting and repair (EPA certification required).
• Carry out electrical repairs as needed.
• Handle plumbing repairs and appliance diagnostics/repair.
• Perform carpentry and general maintenance tasks.
• Assist with unit turns and make-ready preparation.
• Maintain community grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Respond to resident requests with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and quality standards.
