Job summary

MAA Brandon is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across our multifamily properties. You will prepare units for move-in, diagnose and fix HVAC issues, and handle electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks to maintain apartments in excellent condition.

HVAC experience is required, and EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification must be obtained by hire or within 90 days. A valid Florida driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in and readiness checks
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units and related systems
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and locksmith tasks
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and communicate after repairs are completed
