Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs to keep apartment homes and facilities in good condition. You will diagnose and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, while following a preventative maintenance schedule.

The role requires EPA Type II or Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs are completed.
