Job summary

AWI Management Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for a 24-unit apartment community in Cochise, AZ. The role requires reliable, hands-on maintenance skills and a commitment to safe, well-maintained housing for residents.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, general repairs (painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry), preventative maintenance, and groundskeeping. Experience with HUD/LIHTC/RD housing is a plus; familiarity with vendors and resident relations is

Qualifications

Experience with general building maintenance is preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact positively with residents, vendors, and team members.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
Assist with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
Maintain grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal.
Assist with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
Coordinate with the Property Manager to order supplies and vendors.
Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
Report lease or house rule violations when observed.
Respond to emergency maintenance situations.
Follow company policies and procedures.
