Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a full-time role at a Washington, PA community. You will maintain safe, clean living spaces, handle routine and preventative tasks, and address resident service requests to uphold high standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance or related electrical/HVAC/plumbing education, with strong communication and reliable transportation to travel between properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of maintenance experience, or
• 1 year of experience in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing plus 6 months of education in Electricity, HVAC, Plumbing/Fitting, or Carpentry.
• Basic computer skills including email and web searching, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to use position-specific work-order systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable access to a registered and insured vehicle for travel between communities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance across the property.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.
• Maintain clean, safe apartments and common areas.
• Use a computerized work-order system to document and track requests.
• Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and staff.
• Follow safety standards and housing regulations.
• Travel between communities as needed.
