Job summary

Express Employment Professionals in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Tech for a full-time, temp-to-hire role at $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of our facilities.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and can lead projects while collaborating with the team. At least 1 year of repair experience is required; own a vehicle and read/write English;

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience performing repair work in a construction company or property management environment.
• Ability to read and write in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Own vehicle to travel to locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving appliances, etc.
• Report extensive repair work beyond your skill to Lead Maintenance Technician.
• Carry out basic interior and/or exterior repairs based on work orders.
• Report issues, safety concerns, code violations to Lead Maintenance Technician or Director of Maintenance.
• Complete work orders through property management software on company-issued phone.
• Perform exterior work on building as directed by Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager.
• Order and pick up materials from Maintenance Shop as needed.
• Train other Maintenance Technicians following Director of Maintenance's guidelines.

Summary: Seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, as well as the ability to lead projects and collaborate with other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic repairs on the property with regards to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving appliances, etc.
• Report any extensive repair work needed to the Lead Maintenance Technician that is beyond your skill set.
• Carry out basic interior and/ or exterior repairs based on work orders assigned.
• Report any issues or concerns, needed repairs, code violations, property rule violations, safety issues, and property damage to lead Maintenance Technician or Director of Maintenance.
• Complete work orders through property management software app on company-issued cell phone.
• Perform exterior work on building as directed by Lead Maintenance Technician, Property Manager.
• Order and pick up materials from the Maintenance Shop as needed.
• Train other Maintenance Technicians while following the Director of Maintenance's guidelines.

Qualifications:
