Job summary

Monarch Investment and Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for The Hills Apartments in Kansas City, MO. This role leads a maintenance team, schedules work orders, and oversees a preventative maintenance program to keep properties functional and safe.

The ideal candidate brings HVAC experience, EPA certification, and 4+ years in maintenance and multi-family housing, with hands-on skills in drywall, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience required.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO certification a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience in the maintenance field.
• 4+ year experience within the multi-family housing industry preferred.
• Experience managing 1+ employees.
• Drywall, painting, and carpentry experience.
• Experience with light plumbing and electrical work.
• Working knowledge of appliances to include washers and dryers.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that work orders are being completed and assigned to team members based on priority.
• Turning and making units ready in between tenant occupancy.
• Completing repairs in property and apartment plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.
• Monthly budget analysis with Property Manager.
• Manage and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance program.
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
• Managing bids and planning major repairs from third party vendors.
