Qualifications

• Previous apartment maintenance management or supervisory experience required.
• Experience managing maintenance operations at a larger apartment community preferred.
• Current HVAC Certification required.
• Comprehensive maintenance experience: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, general upkeep.
• Must possess all necessary maintenance tools.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

BG Staffing is seeking an experienced and motivated Apartment Maintenance Service Manager for a larger multifamily property in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned maintenance professional who possesses strong leadership skills, extensive apartment maintenance knowledge, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents and ownership teams.

We are looking for a hands‑on leader who can effectively manage maintenance operations, oversee property upkeep, and ensure work orders and apartment turns are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Position Overview

As the Apartment Maintenance Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community. This role requires a well‑rounded maintenance professional with strong technical skills, leadership experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the maintenance staff on a daily basis
• Manage service requests and ensure timely completion of resident work orders
• Oversee apartment turns and prepare units for new move‑ins
• Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, and carpentry-related issues
• Maintain community equipment, common areas, and building systems
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize repair projects
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and property procedures
• Assist with emergency maintenance calls and after‑hours situations as needed
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professional relationships with residents and staff

Required Qualifications

Previous apartment maintenance management or supervisory experience required

Experience managing maintenance operations at a larger apartment community preferred

Current HVAC Certification required

Comprehensive apartment maintenance experience, including:

• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Appliance repair
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Drywall repair
• General maintenance and troubleshooting

Must possess all necessary maintenance tools

Reliable transportation required

Strong organizational and leadership skills
