Job summary

Adara Communities is seeking an experienced Apartment Lead Maintenance Technician for our Imperial Chase community. You will lead maintenance staff, oversee service requests, coordinate make-readies, and support the Property Manager on maintenance projects to uphold safety and resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in multifamily maintenance, a valid HVAC certification, a valid driver's license, and a toolkit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in multifamily housing.
• HVAC Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Personal set of basic hand tools.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
• Residence within 20 miles or relocation willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and guide maintenance staff daily.
• Complete and oversee service requests for timely results.
• Coordinate make-readies, upgrades, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure work orders and unit turns are efficient and accurate.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory and proper tool usage.
• Assist Property Manager with maintenance projects.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction.

What You'll Do as an Apartment Lead Maintenance Technician

• Lead, train, and guide maintenance staff throughout daily operations
• Complete and oversee service requests to ensure timely, high-quality results
• Coordinate and assist with make‑readies, upgrades, and maintenance schedules
• Ensure all work orders and unit turns are completed efficiently and accurately
• Participate in the on‑call rotation as scheduled
• Maintain organized inventory and ensure proper use of tools/equipment
• Support the Property Manager with various maintenance projects and initiatives
• Uphold community standards for safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction

What We're Looking for in the Apartment Lead Maintenance Technician

• Minimum 2 Years Previous Experience as a Maintenance Technician in multifamily housing REQUIRED
• Valid HVAC Certification REQUIRED
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
• Stable work history
• A personal set of basic hand tools
• Proven ability to coach, train, and lead service technicians
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and time‑management skills
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Important: Candidates must live within a 20-mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.

Working Environment of the Apartment Maintenance Technician

This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Team members must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Most work occurs in an outdoor environment, with occasional off‑site tasks as needed. All employees must adhere to the company's uniform policy, provided on the first day of employment.
