Job summary

Kreative Technologies, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our government contracting operations. This full-time role partners with the Accounting Manager/Controller to ensure accurate, timely processing of invoices, payments, and payroll-related entries.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years AP experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Unanet/ADP. You will work remotely but locally to Fairfax, VA, with opportunities to collaborate across teams while

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, GL, month-end close, billing and payroll processes
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
• GAAP knowledge and familiarity with FAR
• Experience with government contracts or government clients
• Experience with Unanet and/or ADP preferred
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial data discreetly

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process
• Review invoices, obtain approvals, enter transactions, and disburse payments
• Ensure weekly check runs and timely vendor payments
• Prepare and process ACH for approval
• Review subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Set up and maintain employees in ADP Workforce Now
• Record and reconcile credit card transactions
• Ensure records are audit-ready for compliance
• Analyze expenditure trends and prepare reports
• Allocate costs per accounting policies and report discrepancies
• Set up projects and new hires in Unanet
• Support payroll: approve timesheets, post labor in Unanet, import data into ADP

Overview

Kreative Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to support our operational accounting needs in a government contracting environment. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager/Controller and plays a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial processing.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounts payable experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with government contracting requirements. This position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle Accounts Payable process
• Review invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, enter transactions, and disburse payments
• Ensure weekly check runs and timely processing of vendor payments
• Prepare and process ACH files for approval
• Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices
• Set up and maintain employees in ADP Workforce Now
• Record and reconcile credit card transactions
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and audit-ready for internal and external compliance
• Analyze expenditure trends and prepare reports as needed
• Allocate costs in accordance with accounting policies; identify and report discrepancies
• Set up projects and new hires in Unanet
• Support payroll processing, including approving timesheets, posting labor in Unanet, and importing data into ADP

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, General Ledger, month-end close, billing, and payroll processes
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and strong familiarity with FAR
• Experience working with government contracts and/or government clients
• Experience with Unanet and/or ADP preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage sensitive financial data with discretion

Compensation

$48k-$58k yearly
