Job summary

D.O.M. magazine in Wichita, KS seeks an aircraft engine technician to troubleshoot and repair engine and related aircraft systems onsite. You will assist in complex repairs, perform inspections, and document all actions using approved manuals and FAA data.

Qualifications include an FAA A&P license and a high school diploma or GED, with etched and shadowed tools required. This is a temporary, onsite position with Aerotek as the staffing partner.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair basic engine and related aircraft problems at on-site and off-site locations.
• Assist in complex engine and related aircraft repairs.
• Perform periodic inspections of engines and aircraft (e.g., MPI/HSI) per manuals.
• Remove, install and replace engines and accessories.
• Perform routine inspections, repairs and modifications on customer aircraft.
• Complete inspections per maintenance programs and troubleshoot systems.
• Ensure tasks are documented per manufacturers manuals or FAA data.
• Apply knowledge of airframe manuals.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair basic engine and related aircraft problems at on-site and off-site locations
• Assist in complex engine and related aircraft repairs
• Perform periodic inspections of engines and aircraft, for example, thrust reversers (TR), Major Periodic Inspection (MPI), Hot Section Inspection (HSI) in accordance with appropriate maintenance manuals
• Perform removal, installation, and replacement of engines, accessories
• Perform routine inspections, repairs and modifications on customer aircraft.
• Complete inspections as required by maintenance programs, modification and inspection packages, and troubleshoot aircraft systems.
• Ensure that all tasks assigned are completed and documented in accordance with manufacturers manuals or other FAA approved data.
• Must apply knowledge of the use and research of numerous airframe manuals.

Pay

• $30 - $57/hr

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
• Education: Must have completed high school diploma or GED to qualify.
• Must have tools etched and shadowed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
