Job summary

Circet USA is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a team based in India, establishing processes for payables, ensuring accurate disbursements, and maintaining AP records in line with policy.

The role requires deep knowledge of accounting cycles, month-end close, and vendor management, with responsibility for training staff and improving AP efficiency. Strong communication with executives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred).
• 5 years of relevant work experience, including 2+ years’ experience managing an AP team.
• Ability to communicate with executive management and all departments across the organization.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the financial cycle and month end close process.
• Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Ability to deal with multifaceted internal and customer/ supplier facing issues.

Responsibilities

• Manages all activities in the accounts payable function.
• Develops process policy; documents routines; trains staff.
• Ensures timely payment of invoices and expenses; maintains records.
• Suggests process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Reconciles vendor statements; ensures proper approvals.
• Manages year-end 1099 statements and unclaimed property;
• Assists weekly cash flow forecasting; coordinates with department heads.
• Leads, recruits, and develops AP team; measures performance.
• Handles special projects as assigned.
