Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounts payable or accounting operations experience, including 2+ years leading a team or function.
• Demonstrated experience stabilizing, cleaning up, or redesigning an AP process in a growth-stage or complex organization.
• Experience evaluating and implementing AP automation or procure-to-pay software.
• Strong knowledge of AP accounting, three-way match, accruals, vendor management, payment controls, and month-end close.
• Experience with an ERP system required.
• Strong Excel skills and an ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve issues rather than simply report them.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, communicate directly and constructively, and drive work to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize the AP function to improve accuracy, timeliness, and controls.
• Drive the implementation of scalable AP automation and procure-to-pay solutions.
• Set clear expectations, follow through on open items, and coordinate with Accounting, Procurement, Finance, and stakeholders.
