Job summary

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center seeks a Board Certified Pathologist with AP/CP expertise to lead surgical, cytopathology and clinical pathology duties. The candidate should have substantial experience in GI, GU, or skin pathology and be licensed to practice in the United States.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, teaching residents, and contributing to pathology quality assurance while maintaining high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA for the year of graduation.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a US state or territory.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) with ABPath.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Autopsy services, and Clinical Pathology.
• Provide supervision and education to trainees and residents.
• Meet departmental QA, performance measures, and turnaround time goals.
• Coordinate pathology care and communicate diagnoses to clinicians for continuity of care.
