Jobot is hiring an AP/AR Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, on-site and permanent. The role covers processing AP and AR activities, vendor management, invoicing, collections, and month-end close. Responsibilities

• Process vendor payments via checks, ACH, and wires.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, supporting documentation, and appropriate approvals.
• Match invoices against purchase orders, receipts, and other supporting documentation.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper general ledger coding.
• Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments as needed.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, duplicate invoices, and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with new vendor setup.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice status, payment timing, and account discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in accordance with established billing procedures.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain accounts receivable aging reports and identify past-due accounts.
• Apply customer payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire receipts, to the appropriate accounts.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, credits, and unapplied cash.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate AR records.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with customer account maintenance and credit memo processing.
• Support month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations and reporting.
