Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston in North Carolina is seeking an AOS Improvement Leader to drive performance and standard work across manufacturing teams. You will apply lean methods and Airbus standards to address operational issues with sustainable solutions, collaborating with CDT, plant managers, and HO functions.

You will lead transformation roadmaps, mentor leaders, and foster continuous improvement through workshops, coaching, and cross-functional projects to deliver tangible benefits for the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, production management and industrialization.
• 8+ years in operations and lean/continuous improvement with tangible results.
• Experience in project management with multi-functional teams and financial aspects.
• Operational experience in implementation and optimization of industrial systems.
• Good communication, proactive problem solving and decision making.
• Coaching/training, leadership, and influence to challenge the status quo.
• APICS basic level, Six Sigma/Lean Black Belt, Kepner Tregoe or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy lean/AOS standards across plant teams and governance structures.
• Advise senior plant stakeholders on priorities and how to apply standards effectively.
• Lead industrial roadmaps, diagnosing gaps and deploying improvements.
• Set up governance with Senior Leadership Teams and secure a deployment architecture.
• Lead cross-functional projects to deliver tangible benefits and long-term performance.
• Facilitate workshops on vision, VSM, kaizen and change management.
• Coach senior leadership and drive sustainable business transformation.
