Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking an Applications Engineer to support customers in AOI products, traveling to sites to troubleshoot process integration issues, evaluate performance, and train users on system operation.

You will work with the account team to maximize opportunities for product sales and services, provide on-site and remote support, and help design and test new features to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Master/Ph.D. degree preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years of hands-on experience with AOI products.
• Good written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Ability to work with limited direction and take initiative to solve problems.
• Can function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical presentations and perform system demonstrations for customers.
• Provide on-site and remote applications support to customers.
• Assist customers in solving problems related to AOI applications in manufacturing processes.
• Support the Applications Lab with input to customer test plans and provide execution support.
• Interface with external customers and internal departments to determine equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with FSE to complete final acceptance and training for new tool installations.
• Report results of experiments and tests and provide interpretations.
