Job summary

Alpha MX Support is seeking a shift lead A&P mechanic to manage a 3–6 person team on a rotating 3/4 day schedule at our NY/NJ base. You will guide on-site repair operations, coordinate tasks, and ensure safe, compliant aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, troubleshooting discrepancies, performing inspections, and communicating with maintenance controllers to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
• Must be able to pass FAA drug test.
• Must be able to pass a background check; prior leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, and schedule the mechanics on your shift.
• Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraft.
• Accomplish aircraft inspections per aircraft maintenance manual.
• Inspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and tooling.
• Work as a member of a team to complete repairs.
• Follow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shift.
