Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to inspect, modify, and repair aircraft at the maintenance base. You will troubleshoot discrepancies, supervise mechanics on advanced tasks, and coordinate materials and manpower for shifts.

The role requires an FAA A&P certificate, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical orders. Expect rotating schedules, including nights and weekends, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals.
• Must be able to work in rotating schedules including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and repair company aircraft.
• Accomplish aircraft inspections per company procedures.
• Proficient with electronic test equipment, measuring devices and navigation troubleshooting gear.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders.
• Inspect and assist in maintenance of equipment and tooling.
• Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repairs.
• Act as shift manager as required and coordinate manpower.
• Ensure all aircraft documentation is completed per FAA procedures before departure.
