Job summary

Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs, Inc. (SCADP) seeks an AOD Support Staff I Registered to assist in counseling services while monitoring the program premises for safety.

Under supervision, you will participate in group counseling sessions and crisis management, preparing for certification through education and supervised hours. Responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians, transporting participants as needed, and maintaining accurate EHR records.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Valid Driver’s license or State ID.
• Registered and in good standing in an Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification program.
• Completed ASAM Modules 1 and 2 within 2 weeks of hire.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist in alcohol and drug counseling under supervision.
• Collaborate with case manager and therapist to support treatment plans.
• Transport program participants in the company vehicle when needed.
• Monitor program entrance, conduct bag and personal screening, and ensure security.
• Maintain client safety, conduct room checks, and document activities.
• Enter required data into EHR and other databases.
• Assist program staff during services to clients/participants as required.
