Job summary

VOALA in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an AOD Support Staff I Registered - MC (Part Time) to provide services to program beneficiaries while maintaining safety. In training to be an AOD counselor, you work under supervision, participate in group sessions, and progress toward certification.

This on-site role involves counseling activities, security monitoring, participant support, data entry into EHR, and collaboration with case managers.

Qualifications

• Must have AA or higher degree in related field.
• Bi-lingual, Spanish and English preferred.
• Fingerprint clearance and background check required.
• Valid Driver's license or State ID as required by DHCS.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, learn screening, assessment, and intake for AOD services.
• Assist in group and educational sessions and in discharge planning.
• Transport participants to offsite appointments as needed.
• Monitor security, screen bags and entrances to protect participants.
• Maintain incident logs and required records.
