Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) is hiring for an AOD Support Staff I - Registered who will provide services to beneficiaries in treatment and help maintain safety on-site. This role supports counseling, intake, and group sessions under supervision and aims to meet certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• AA or higher degree in a related field required; ASAM modules within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide AOD counseling support under supervision, participate in group sessions and crisis management.
• Assist in intake, assessment, and documentation; contribute to discharge and transition planning and records (EHR).
• Transport participants as needed in program vehicle and ensure safety and security.
