Job summary

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Bureau of Communicable Disease seeks a City Research Scientist to lead NHSN activities for NYC, analyze surveillance data, and support antimicrobial resistance projects. You will coordinate with NYS DOH and CDC partners, present findings to stakeholders, and contribute to One Health initiatives.

The role requires advanced degrees in public health or related sciences, experience in NHSN or antimicrobial resistance, and strong data analytics skills

Qualifications

Public health, NHSN, and antimicrobial resistance experience preferred.
Strong data analytics and reporting capabilities.
Ability to coordinate remotely with teams and manage data integrity.

Responsibilities

Serve as NHSN lead for NYC and support ARU, BCD, NYS, and CDC initiatives.
Analyze NHSN data and prepare reports as requested.
Assist with surveillance projects for CRO, C. auris, and MRSA and perform data cleaning/QA.
Present results of analyses to internal and external stakeholders.
