Job summary

AlivaMab Biologics is seeking a Research Associate to support antibody discovery and screening workflows in San Diego, CA. You will work with the Antibody Discovery, Antibody Engineering, and Protein Sciences teams to identify therapeutic hits from the AlivaMab Mouse platform.

Responsibilities include mouse immunizations, tissue collection, cell culture, ELISA and flow cytometry, high-throughput screening with automation, and meticulous record-keeping using Benchling.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in immunology, cell biology, or related discipline with 0-3 years of experience.
• Experience with small-animal work and IACUC guidelines is an advantage.
• Aseptic mammalian tissue culture experience required; cancer cell lines & hybridomas preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mouse immunizations, sera titer assessment, and tissue collection.
• Maintain mammalian cell lines for cell-based assays across projects.
• Screen antibodies using ELISA, flow cytometry, and functional assays.
• Prepare reagents and manage inventory; monitor stock levels.
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments with initiative.
• Run high-throughput processes using automation for discovery workflows.
• Maintain records in Benchling; report results to support decisions.
• Collaborate across teams to drive research excellence in a fast-paced setting.
