Job summary

Trelleborg Industrial Solutions in Michigan seeks an Application Engineer to design and develop anti-vibration solutions that meet customer needs. You will select products from the portfolio, create CAD models and manufacturing drawings, and provide expert technical guidance on product selection and application.

The role includes executing validation tests, documenting results, and mentoring junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar anti-vibration role.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering.
• Ability to design and communicate information on complex engineering drawings; 3D CAD knowledge is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate product design experience and understand the design process.
• High attention to detail and strong communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calculations for stress, strain and stiffness and define tests to validate designs.
• Design solutions that meet customer requirements and cost targets.
• Provide reports detailing product selection for customer applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Support manufacturing with cost-effective design implications.
