Job summary

YUSA Corporation’s R&D facility in the United States is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and develop anti-vibration products for automotive applications and provide engineering support to customers.

You will create 3D models and drawings, validate prototypes, and collaborate with production, suppliers, and customers to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost.

Qualifications

  • BSME required; product design experience preferred.
  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

YUSA Corporation’s R&D facility is seeking a mechanical engineer to design and develop anti-vibration products for automotive applications and provide engineering support to customers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with customer engineering contacts to establish product requirements
  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings to meet customer specs
  • Assist in the manufacture and validation of prototypes
  • Work with YUSA’s production facility to optimize designs for manufacturability and cost
  • Work with suppliers to develop cost and weight reduction ideas
  • Provide reports and technical information to meet internal and customer requirements.
Requirements

A BSME is required, and product design/development experience is preferred, but not required.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience with rubber anti-vibration products, CATIA, and the automotive industry is preferred, and experience with lightweight materials, especially plastics, is a plus.

Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, forging, additive manufacturing and extrusion is also helpful.

A working knowledge of automobiles is a definite plus.
