Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Chief Antenna Design Engineer in Rockwall, TX to lead ultrawideband antenna and ESA system designs across lifecycle stages. You will mentor a multi-disciplined team, support proposals, and drive timely program execution to meet customer requirements.

The role requires deep RF/microwave expertise and hands-on use of CST/HFSS, MATLAB, and ADS, with DoD clearance eligibility preferred. Join a team delivering critical ISR capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with extensive RF/Microwave experience.
• 12 years of relevant work experience; DoD clearance eligibility preferred.
• Proven ability to design and analyze antenna performance metrics (gain, bandwidth, polarization, etc.).
• Experience with antenna element design including horns, dipoles, patches, PIFAs, and other styles.
• Familiarity with CST/HFSS, MATLAB, ADS and SystemVue for design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for complex antenna and RF/Microwave development programs.
• Lead technical design reviews and guide project execution to meet customer requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers on antenna design and development activities.
• Lead business development activities including customer visits and technical briefings.
• Generate accurate estimates for NRE and recurring costs, and interface with customers on technical matters.
