Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer in Rockwall, TX to design mechanical packaging for ultrawideband antenna and ESA systems across lifecycle phases. You will work within the Advanced Aperture Solutions group on diverse antenna development and production projects.

The role involves detailed part design, assemblies, configuration management, environmental testing, and installations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.
Graduate Degree with 4+ years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience.
Experience with antenna simulation, analysis, and packaging tools (CST, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

Research, prepare engineering drawings, and coordinate design activities with Engineering and Production to ensure manufacturability.
Understand complex antenna and phased array systems.
Assess and report on mechanical project status, risks, and issues.
Guide engineering team on mechanical best practices to meet customer requirements.
Designs will be accomplished using world-class 3D CAD tools with senior-level engineers.
Interfacing with customers on technical matters to ensure satisfaction and business growth.
