Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, smelting, casting, Carbon operations, or another heavy industrial environment; experience supervising other supervisors is not required.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence, with the confidence to identify hazards, reinforce standards and hold others accountable.
• Clear, effective communication and the ability to work well with employees, peer leaders, management, and cross functional partners.
• Proven coaching and employee-development skills, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and building capable, engaged teams.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and structured problem solving efforts that strengthen operational performance.
• Strong planning, organization, and decision-making skills; with the flexibility to manage competing priorities and support operations across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Anode Assembly operations to meet safety, production, quality, cost, and customer requirements.
• Build a strong safety culture through visible field leadership, routine walkthroughs, hazard identification, clear expectations, and consistent accountability, including work involving heavy equipment and crane operations.
• Coach, develop, and align five frontline supervisors while strengthening communication, teamwork, employee engagement, and performance across the hourly workforce.
• Plan staffing, crewing, overtime, equipment, materials, and other resources to support safe, efficient, and reliable production across multiple shifts.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring performance, conducting operational audits, addressing gaps, and implementing corrective actions that improve safety, productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to prioritize repairs, coordinate preventive maintenance, improve equipment reliability, and minimize downtime; communicate operational status to employees, leaders, and support departments.
