Job summary

The Shelter Association of Washtenaw County (SAWC) seeks a Manager of Annual Giving to grow philanthropic support. This in-person role with one remote day weekly leads annual fund campaigns, donor stewardship, and grant-writing efforts in collaboration with leadership to drive revenue growth.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in fundraising, strong CRM skills (Bloomerang preferred), and a track record of campaign success and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of fundraising, annual giving, or related development work.
• Proven success in managing giving programs or donor campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal skills with donor communications experience.
• Excellent project management and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with CRM and donor databases; Bloomerang is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and guide strategy.
• Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and collaborate cross-functionally.
• CFRE credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate annual giving program activities.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive annual fund strategy.
• Lead creation of annual giving appeals via multi-channel campaigns.
• Analyze donor data to measure effectiveness and trends.
• Collaborate with communications for consistent donor messaging.
• Oversee donor stewardship and engagement activities.
• Support grant writing and proposals in partnership with leadership.
• Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM.
• Coordinate donor recognition and reporting with Finance.
