Job summary

Trinity Washington University is seeking a Director of Annual Giving in Washington, DC. You will plan and manage a year-round fundraising program for the Annual Fund, building donor engagement through direct mail, online giving, email, events, and personal solicitations.

Reporting to the Director of Development and Alumnae/i Relations, you will set goals, track progress in Raiser's Edge, draft letters and acknowledgments, and collaborate across university stakeholders to maximize philanthropic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least five years of relevant experience in a development-related role in an educational environment, ideally in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of Raiser's Edge software.
• Proven track record managing an annual campaign.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude, flexible approach, and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising plan for the Annual Fund.
• Set goals for dollars and participation.
• Create multidimensional appeals across email, direct mail, and events.
• Build donor relationships and personally solicit assigned prospects.
• Utilize Raiser's Edge to track visits and generate reports.
• Draft and coordinate Annual Fund letters and acknowledgments.
• Contribute content to university publications and social media.
• Attend on-campus and off-campus events; assist with prospect research.
• Other duties as assigned.
