Job summary

SPCA Florida is seeking an Animal Patient Records Coordinator to support our medical team by maintaining accurate, up-to-date medical records for the animals in our care.

You will help ensure that medical information and procedures are properly documented so our veterinary and animal care teams can provide timely care. The role requires comfort with databases, multi-tasking, and interdepartmental communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong data entry and database navigation skills are essential.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate medical records.
• Effective written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date animal medical records in ShelterLuv.
• Enter, review, and verify health information, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare and share daily ShelterLuv reports to identify animals needing care.
• Coordinate with surgery, care teams, admissions, and adoption staff to ensure complete medical information.
• Identify missing or inconsistent data and follow up with team members.
• Keep workspace organized and manage daily duties efficiently.
• Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and SPCA Florida safety procedures.
