Job summary

Midnight Sun Technologies, LLC in Durham, NC seeks an Animal Feed and Bedding Team Lead to oversee sanitation of equipment and the automated feeding/bedding systems, ensuring compliance with SOPs and AAALAC standards.

The successful candidate will work with a team, manage inventory, perform maintenance, and coordinate with NIEHS contract requirements, with a strong work ethic and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• AALAS ALAT certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to obtain necessary trainings and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facility autoclaves.
• Operate and monitor Ducon pneumatic feed and bedding system.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Order, receive, inspect, stock and inventory deliveries of feed and bedding.
• Transport supplies to campus storage areas and other animal facilities.
• Schedule and/or perform decontamination procedures on animal rooms, animal study areas, procedure rooms, necropsy rooms and surgical suites in accordance with SOP as requested by the COR or her/his designee.
• Assist with pest control monitoring program for building 101 and 104 areas.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance and inspections as required.
