Job summary

The Connecticut Humane Society is seeking an energetic Animal Care/Adoption Technician to join our team in Quaker Hill, CT. You will provide daily care and enrichment for a variety of companion animals while helping families find loving homes and guiding them through the adoption and surrender process.

This full-time, benefit-eligible role includes weekend hours, hands-on animal handling, customer service, and data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years in customer service or animal care.
• Able to work weekends.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and enrichment for dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals.
• Clean kennels, cat areas, and small animal enclosures.
• Monitor health or behavior; report changes.
• Assist with intake evaluation and data entry.
• Assist customers with adoptions and surrender process.
• Maintain accurate animal records and data entry.
