Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division in Columbus, IN seeks an Angel Tree Coordinator to lead outreach, coordination with community leaders, churches, businesses and donors to support the Angel Tree program.

You will manage budgets, intake processes, and training for volunteers, while coordinating with corps officers and the division statistician for reporting and distribution follow-up.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed and all background check results will be reviewed.
• Experience: One to two years’ experience planning and organizing large social services events highly preferred.
• Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Angel Tree Committee in drafting the Angel Tree brief for the upcoming year including a budget, media needs, partnerships, calendar dates and fundraisers.
• Work with Community Relations to manage online adoptions.
• Collaborate with Community Relations and Development to build new relationships with churches, businesses, and donors in the community.
• Prepare the intake website and clearing house website for the current year.
• Work with corps officers to develop and present intake training.
• Resource and support the corps officers for intake and distribution.
