Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Burlington Corps in Burlington, NC is seeking a part-time 32-hour weekly coordinator to manage the Angel Tree Program for Alamance County and support holiday operations.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, preparing program records, lifting and sorting donations in the warehouse, assisting in all warehouse tasks, and maintaining donor relations. Requires a High School diploma or GED, two years of office experience, and a valid driver's license.

Salary Range: $10.00 - $10.50 Hourly

Job Category: Christmas

Schedule/Hours: 32 hrs. per week. Tuesday-Saturday 10AM-4PM (Flexible).

This position is responsible for:

Managing the Angel Tree Program for The Salvation Army in Alamance County

Key Responsibilities

• Recruits, trains, coordinates the work of volunteers to meet Christmas program needs
• Prepares records and reports for the Christmas program
• Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse; Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse
• Assists in working in all areas of the Christmas warehouse operations as needed.
• Maintains good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
